Schwarzenegger's going to have a tougher time than he expected.

I hope Arnold runs. This scum needs to be sent packing.

Which Arnold? Do you mean the fiscally responsible Arnold of 2003, or do you mean the socialist RINO Arnold of 2007?

Arnold's not going to win. Boxer wins easily, *yawn*

I don' think so. Arnold's supposed bipartisanship makes him a popular figure around here. I will admit that Boxer is likely to win, but I can guarentee you that Arnold will make this a tough race. As usual, I will be voting for the guy with the (L) next to his name.

Awesome. I don't think Arnold is stupid enough to get his ass kicked by her. She's got the power of incumbency, the media can't beat her up like they beat up Angelides. Also, Californians tend to be pretty consistant in how they vote in federal elections.

Why else would he be abandoning his principles from his first campaign if he's not up for reelection?

He had principles in his first campaign? I must have missed the part of that campaign that had substance.

Substance free campaigns aren't going to work as well for a US Senate election against an incumbent.

All I'm saying is that why else would he take a sharp turn to the left if he wasn't running for a higher office?

Why not vote Arnold, A vote for Arnold will be taking the power out of the hands of the Christian right and help putting the Republican party back on a moderate course.

Moderate course?! Name one thing that could be labeled as fiscally conservative that Arnold has done since his second term began. He supports stem cell research funding, tax hikes, universal health care, carbon limits, amnesty, and almost everything else that the Democratic Party supports.

Barbara Boxer is one the worst politicians in Washington.  I'm sad she's running again, I thought she was going to retire after this term.

That makes two of us.

And that's a reason why Angelides was a bad campaigner and lacked charisma/personality?

No, but it certainly hurt his campaign. I remember during the election season last year, the Schwarzenegger campaign was quoting ads by Steve Westly, then at the end of the ad, said " Maybe Steve Westly was right". I don't know if it would have affected the outcome, but I can tell you with certainty that Angelides would have broke 40% if he didn't have primary opposition.

Governor is one thing, U.S. Senate is another. Arnold would get hammered in a federal election. Rightfully so, Boxer is one of the few worthwhile Democrats in the Senate.

I doubt he would get hammered. I predict something like 53-44 Boxer.
