Kanye acts like a standard trashy rich person, so I’m not sure why people are surprised.

Thank goodness he’s committing public suicide, but the real course of action is to make sure the child is ok and out of that clownhouse.

Kanye’s positions are pretty common among the elite, antisemitism and the angst of jealousy aren’t exactly foreign to them or extreme. Musk is not an aberration of the wealthy, nor is Carl Icahn who has gone on record on beating up Jewish kids with his blue blood friends before.

Blaming social media on people being an asshole, or nonsense about “extremism” rising and not the corporate heads getting desperate is fundamentally an incorrect view of the situation.

Sure they can’t claim that or else face social backlash, but believing in the stereotypes and economic anxiety for people other than them being successful is pretty damn common.

Jewish people are a small, economically successful minority. Following this logic, the people most bigoted against Jews would be poorer people following populist rhetoric.

Except that’s not where this logic, or reality, is hinting at. The people who openly hate Jews without care for optics are mainly privileged retirees and small business owners and their spawn. Meanwhile you got Elon Musk going all mask off for the world to see and failing at plausible deniability.
