This isn’t a race war, it’s a class war. Anything saying otherwise is propaganda.

I would like you all to be acquainted with the FIT’s publication Left Voice before this is over
New York City Bus Drivers Defy the NYPD, Refuse to Transport Arrested Protesters
Quote
Throughout the country, people are protesting against the brutal police murder of George Floyd, as well as the recent murders of Breonna Taylor, Sean Reed, and Ahmaud Arbery. Bowing to enormous public pressure, Floyd’s killer Derek Chauvin has been arrested in an attempt to quell the unrest, but protests have continued. These have been met with harsh repression, with police deploying tear gas and arresting protesters en masse — tactics that are especially violent during a pandemic. This was the case in Brooklyn on Friday night, as New York police cracked down on protests erupting near the Barclays Center. But sectors of the organized working class are already demonstrating solidarity with the protesters.

In a video that has since gone viral, a crowd cheers as an operator from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority refuses to drive a bus filled with arrested protesters, in a move similar to that made by bus drivers in Minneapolis.
Solidarity is always a nice quality to have.

ANTIFA was just a bunch of peaceful anti fascist group and if you oppose them you are the real fascists because they have the words anti fascist in their name just like the DPRK has Democratic.
Yes, and?

Ive been saying since we locked down in April that I wasn’t scared of the virus, but rather the civil unrest that would be the end result.

Well well well....

This was all so predictable.
Why don’t other countries which enacted even stricter lockdowns have so much civil unrest?
They have societal and structural glue that prevent such matters; either a combination of a strong civil society, stronger interpersonal connections, a welfare state, greater accountability in the government and/or workplace, and other obligations and contractual stuff that maintain society in a stable fashion when it’s under pressure. That’s evident in New Zealand, South Korea, Germany, Cuba, and Vietnam. Meanwhile countries like Iran, Brazil, and the United States have often contradicted or nonexistant social contracts between the elite and the masses in varying degrees.

Watching local news here in Los Angeles earlier.
The looters were swarming a specific high-end shoe (sneakers) store. It went on for an hour or so.
People were driving-up to the store and people would get out to steal merchandise.
There were some very big/heavy-weight looters that just stood outside, and as weaker looters ran by carrying 4 or 5 boxes of shoes, the big looters would trip them or shove them to the ground. The big looters would then take their stolen merchandise and throw it in the back seat of their nearby car.
After that, they would wait until the next idiot came by and did it again. They kept doing this over and over again; rinse and repeat.
I just couldn't stop thinking how this is a total disgrace to the cause of protesting against what happened to George Floyd.
This is what anarchy looks like. Protests need to stay protests, and IF they turn into riots, you need to target those who wronged you (in this case, the Minneapolis police). When things devolve into anarchy, all goals and endgames of the protest disappear. Anarchy swallows any and all ideology, value or ideal and replaces it with anarchy.
This is chaos, not Anarchy, but I digress.

Anyway, this is revving up to be our version of the Yellow Vest movement. I was wondering when this would actually happen, but I thought it was a year or two ahead.

Not even a little bit, dude. These people are terrorists and lowlifes not fighting for labor.
The same was said of the Yellow Vest movement, and as it was then, it is wrong now.

Well, I think it's pretty clear that American exceptionalism has zero reliance on any of the people involved, and the country is quite comfortable going forward without them. They are useless moochers who only have negative contributions to make. Totally different base of support from France.
Well that’s, erm, the biggest probable dog whistle made in this thread to date

On this argument, you are wrong, as the Yellow Vest movement was a diverse group of mainly exurban  Banlieue folks fighting for their rights to live without structural barriers from the state. A lot of Maghrebi and West Asian folks made up the composition of the protests along with the majority French population, and even then there were many mistreated descendants of domestic migrants and Portuguese French people.

Police brutality and the government f•••ing us all over affects, well, all of us. It’s not the fault of the fed up protesters that there is this mass movement, but of the government not fixing its s••• before to handle pressure from a pandemic it handled like s••• as well.

Peaceful protests are not interesting news to report on. They can report on it, but no one would tune in. We are only tuned in due to worry about the imminent danger
It paints a wrong picture of the protests though. It’s manufacturing people’s opinions without presenting the whole truth.

yep, this is our Yellow Vest movement. May the pangs of fervor spearhead a future where we won’t even need to state whether any life matters to those in charge.

BREAKING: War president who thinks a mask makes him look weak is now hiding in a bunker.  Cheesy Cheesy
Roll Eyes

Should he be brave and order the Secret Service to pull a Tiannenan Square? What do you want him to do? Open the gates and let a mob of white kids pull him apart? What do you want from him?
Admit he was wrong and apologize. Issue a general amnesty plan and tell his allies to pass strict police reform the likes of which would ensure that this would never happen again. That would make people feel heard and cease protesting.

Or, if he thinks he doesn’t want to go against the people who continue to prop him up, resign in disgrace already.

So you recognize my thoughts, but won’t act on it. Yeah, this is why this will happen again, and why I don’t feel anything for people who don’t act.

I’m not going to blame them on their lack of preparation. They’re obviously all very new to this and it has been nearly a decade since Occupy. Hopefully they and onlookers now learn what to do for next time so as to be more prepared to maintain ample supply lines.

Ok, this free zone Paris Commune larping needs to end right now. This shouldn't be tolerated.
Hey dont worry soon you can LARP as Bismarck.
Otto Von Bismarck wasn’t the guy that crushed the Paris Commune, that was the Parisian authorities under Nappy 3’s successor.

Over 15,000 Gather in Brooklyn to Declare that Black Trans Lives Matter
Quote
A sea of people, all dressed in white, stood looking up at the front of the Brooklyn Museum, where a collection of trans* Black activists stood, addressing the crowd. A police helicopter hovered ominously over the crowd while drones zipped in and out of the assembled bodies. Despite these very obvious intimidation tactics, the thousands in the street were in good spirits. There was a rage that united everyone, a rage at the murder of two Black trans* women, Riah Milton and Dominique “Rem’mie” Fells, in the past two days, a rage at Donald Trump’s rolling back of healthcare protections for trans* individuals, a rage at the historic and current oppression of the Black trans* community, an oppression that still persists 51 years after a Black trans woman started the Stonewall Riots in protest of state violence against the trans* community.

This was the scene on Saturday at the Brooklyn protest for Black Trans* Lives. The protest was called earlier in the week and received a lot of attention on social media. Organizers called for everyone to wear white, listen to the speakers, and then participate in a silent march. The effect was very powerful as, what organizers estimate to be around, 15,000 people showed up to stand in solidarity with Black trans* people. This was one of the largest Black Lives Matter protests in the past few weeks.
Love the feeling of solidarity going on here.
