Hopefully its for a unity ticket, but the likely answer is that hes dropping out.

Did he have an issue with name recognition though?

Perhaps to reintroduce with voters. It does seem weird why our best candidate would go for a vanity run for the governorship

It is weird, nothing hes done signifys that he will drop out. I still think that its most likely, but its also possible that he will merge tickets with Walker, with him (probably) being on top, since hes announcing.
