Little discussion about PMC Wagner lately.. RU has concentrated it's forces heavily in the Bakhmut front. And rumblings in the Ukrainian sphere says that they are soon going to assault the city (UA still controls the road):

Kyiv losing up to 200 troops a day - Zelensky aide

Quote
Mykhaylo Podolyak said Ukraine needed hundreds of Western artillery systems to level the playing field with Russia in the eastern Donbas region.

He also said Kyiv is not ready to resume peace talks with Moscow.

Ukrainian troops are under relentless bombardment as Russian forces attempt to take control of the whole of Donbas.
Quote
He repeated Ukraine's appeal for more weapons from the West, saying that the "complete lack of parity" between the Russian and Ukrainian armies was the reason for Ukraine's heavy casualty rate.
Quote
Mr Podolyak's suggestion that 100 to 200 Ukrainian soldiers are dying each day is higher than previous estimates. On Thursday, Ukraine's Defence Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, said Ukraine was losing 100 soldiers a day, and 500 more were injured.

The original figure of 50-100 casualties (not all of which were deaths) was, apparently, high. It’s possible this one is true, but it wouldn’t be the first time Ukrainian officials exaggerated the scale of a problem to stress the importance of delivering more aid.

We are not immune to information warfare.
Same thing entered my mind.

Russians are also planning to use captives (forced labor) to rebuild Mariupol:

So, anyway I usually have sigs turned off, so I miss out out on much of the drama, but I recently turned it on briefly and randomly saw SirWoodbury's sig

So, I was curious and Google searched it and it a screen shot from an obscure (to me at least) Russian gangster movie from 20 years called Brother 2 or Brat 2.  So a quick a quick internet search sez that it was controversial for it's racism and dialogue promoting killing of Americans and Ukrainians.  It's also supposedly one of Putin's favorite movies and he quotes it frequently as do Russian fascists in general.

Is he trolling?  Is it part of his belief system?  Or maybe he's just some film auteur.  But a the very least the Mods and everyone should know the kind of person they are dealing with.
"Obscure" bro, you really need to do more than just google searches, literally any Russian on the street knows about the Brat franchise, and it's about as racist as the Sopranos is... this is the same energy as the Masha and the Bear thread lol.

And I think's it's f**ed up that many psychos quote it to use it on today's conflict.

It's supposed to portray your typical Russian gangster who has ignorant/simpleton views on the world. Like Chase's portrayal of Tony Soprano and Italian-Americans machoism, the point isn't to glorify both of them.

Edit: I only like this sig because I think with him holding the cig with the Chicago skyline in the background is badass lol.. tbh I actually think both movies are overrated.

Zolote pocket cut off.

Some Ukrainian sources claiming they managed to withdraw from the area before the Russians encircled the area.. if true, the road to attack Lysychansk from the south without worrying about any river crossings is completely open.

Russians at the outskirts to the south of Lysychansk.. some small Ukrainian forces (apparently) left in the pocket, unclear how many.

Head of the Civil-military Administration, the mayor of Severodonetsk, and the Ukrainian military confirms that Severodonetsk and it's surroundings of Syrotyne, Borivske, Voronove has fallen to the enemy.. everything east of the river is most likely in Russian hands:

All eyes on Lysychansk now.

Ukrainians gradually withdrew from the city since last week, some still left. The oil refinery to the west of the city is still contested as of now/possibly under Russian control (RU sources just now).. Chechens claiming they have entered Lysychansk.

Syria is now the second UN member (with Russia) to recognize the independence of the so called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics..

So 2 possibilities:
1) It's a lie
2) Other Russian or Separatist units already took Lysychansk (or part of it) and did the fighting, and Kadyrov's men have arrived to film TikTok and Telegram videos and claim credit.
Most likely.

Estimate of the frontline at the current moment for a better view of what is going on (the yellow area marked at the top, Pryvillya, northwest of Lysychansk, has been abandonded by UA now):

There is clearly a risk of Lysychansk being cut off.  It will be interesting to see if the Ukrainian unit can manage to cut their way out given the artillery cover the Russians have in the area.  I suspect they will make their moves in the night.

UA confirms that they have fully withdrawn from Lysychansk..

..And seemingly they have also left Bilohorivka as RU forces enter the town/it's administration building, thus all the settlements in Luhansk Oblast is now under occupation of LPR & Russia:

On the Izyum front, Bohorodychne might have been captured, one of the few settlements left towards the road to Sloviansk.
