Turnout was pretty good here, but the city is absolutely plastered with posters for the City Council primaries, so no surprise. I do expect disastrously low turnout in most of the state.

Anyway, polls are closed.

Where the numbers are coming in is going to be critical for the New Jersey results. Does anyone have a site with a county breakdown?

First precinct is from Ocean County.

More from Ocean and one from Hunterdon. Lautenberg and Zimmer are dominating so far.

Sabrin is leading Pennacchio. Paulites apparently do vote when Ron Paul isn't on the ballot as long as a surrogate is.

Whee... 79% for Andrews in Gloucester so far. His highest county otherwise is Ocean, with 31%. Lautenberg is destroying Andrews in Hudson County by about the same amount as Andrews is in Gloucester. Local news just reported that absentee ballots in Bergen County were strongly for Lautenberg.

Gloucester is disproportionately in. Really bad for Andrews; he currently trails in Cumberland with about a third in.

Camp Andrews is optimistic, saying turnout should be just below 200,000 when they originally believed it would be around 300,000.

If he can't win in Cumberland County, he'll be lucky to break 30%. And it's half in now with Lautenberg still having a narrow lead (48-47).

Sabrin is in second in two counties: ahead of Zimmer in Gloucester and Pennacchio in Ocean. LOL

Pennacchio recovers with over 70% in Passaic County.

That'll probably be the theme of the night.  70%+ wins for each GOP candidate with the line.

Which means we might have a long wait if Bergen is the last county in. Pennacchio trails significantly right now but had the line here, and Bergen will probably have the most votes in both primaries (Essex might have more in the Democratic primary).

The NJ-07 GOP primary is looking chaotic. Hatfield dominated in Union but won't win votes anywhere else (Marks is in second in Union, Whitman third and Lance all the way back in fourth!) Nothing from Middlesex yet, which will be Whitman's base. Somerset slightly favors Lance over Whitman while Hunterdon is strong for Lance. Whitman could still pull it off, but Lance has probably won, almost certainly with an amusingly low percent (~35%).

Mr. Moderate, do you know who had the line in the GOP Senate primary in Camden County?

Dick Zimmer.

Okay, it's definitely over, then. Now to find results for the local primaries...

Is Camile Andrews the actual candidate for her husband's district?  I thought she was supposed to be a filler until they found a viable candidate.

I believe she plans to step aside for him to run for re-election.

Anyway, here's the highly amusing map of the Senate primary. Everybody loves regional polarization:

Sabrin did pass 20% in another county: Gloucester, where he got 27% and surpassed Zimmer (on 26%).
