No. How about we abolish the electoral college and use IRV? Problem solved. I don't understand why people talk about "reforming" the Electoral College when doing so really just makes it more complicated without fixing the inherent problem of malapportionment. Yes, this tweak makes it virtually impossible to win the popular vote and lose the electoral vote, but there's no need for the solution to be so complex.
