The problem is Canadian troops are fighting for the "liberation of Afghan women" in Afghanistan (its atleast one of our reasons to be there) and here in Canada we let women vote covered... Talk about that. Canada is Canada, not Saudi Arabia and I'd like to keep it that way.Yes, and, unlike in Saudi Arabia, in Canada the women have the choice to wear or not wear the veil. If they feel that wearing the veil is an important part of their faith, well, that's their decision, not yours. The veil is not in any way interfering with the voting process.

It almost certainly is. You could show up in a veil to vote if you want, or dressed in women's clothing, or wearing only a bathing suit, or with all of your exposed skin painted green.
