Obama's actually going to get a bit of a boost from this, if we want to look at this in political terms.  It WAS going to be 55-44.  Probably 56.5-42.5 now.  

No, it won't. Incumbents are always almost hurt for acts of God. As for the percentages, please, please tell me those are for NJ and not for the US.

Um... I take it you're too young to remember the effect of the Bush's response to Hurricane Charely in Florida in 2004?

Obama has the advantage though, so the status quo is good enough for him.

The race is a pure tossup.  Obama is at best tied in Colorado and Virginia and has tiny leads in Ohio, Iowa, and New Hampshire, where he is under 50% in each one. 

I spend way too much time, that is, about 30 seconds, trying to figure you out.
