I love that he's turning it back on the Congress... the GOP needs to not look so sour when he's talking about payroll tax cuts...

Boehner looks so uncomfortable, lol... he knows these are good ideas, but since he has to deal with people who don't like good ideas if they come from Obama.... he's in yet another bind.

It's probably the strongest and most determined speech from him in a long time... it's a throw-down.

Yep, definitely the best speech he's given in a long time, both in delivery and tactic.

Actually, I thought it was his worst speeches.  The last five minutes were good, but is substance, more of the same.  A few things might get passed, but it is DOA.

Obama has lost the magic.

Homeland Security now talking about a plot to plant car bombs in NYC and DC.

Respectfully, that's rubbish (albeit your view)

If you don't see the political tactic in this and HOW badly this could backfire on the GOP then...

Respectfully, it is recycled failure tactic.  Too much emphasis on construction, and "Shovel ready wasn't as shovel ready as they thought."

It sold in 2009, but nobody will buy it in 2012.  Nothing fails like failure.

My view is that there wasn't enough emphasis on infrastructure spending in the last package.

I wasn't making comment on the speech, I have always thought that.

I agree, it's tactically magnificent.
