Ed Case is leading comfortably in a new poll by Merriman, RIP. The only Democrat to vote for defunding NPR is coming back to Congress, the renown reactionary corporate shill, Mr. Ed Case himself!

Chin - 19%
Mercado Kim - 16%
Ing - 6%
Fukumoto - 5%

Blah. This is like the cherry on top of one of the biggest s**itshows of a primary I've seen in quite a long time. How exactly does Ed Case have a base?

Case is a DINO but at least he's always been on the right side of LGBT issues. All the way back in 1997, he was one of the only people in the Hawaii House to oppose a measure constitutionally banning same sex marriage. That alone makes him better than Chin and DMK in my book.

I'm genuinely surprised that Case won. The guy's last successful election was 14 years ago.

Well, the silver lining of blowing four different elections in the last sixteen years is it builds you some name recognition.
