Apologies if you have already stated this UWS but I want to ask what are the following people up to in this timeline:
Tim Pawlenty
Steve Bannon
Richard Santorum
Steve Scalise (did the Baseball shooting still happen?)
Kevin McCarthy (did he/will he become House Speaker?)

Anyway brilliant, well-written timeline UWS!

This is an excellent timeline.

It's  a shame that Joe Manchin didn't switch parties instead of going to almost certain defeat in the 2018 midterms.  With a relatively moderate president like Rubio I could actually see Manchin switching with Jim Justice although of course he would then have to compete in the WV GOP primary and risk losing there.  What were the reasons for him not switching with Justice in this timeline?

  • Rep. Ruben Kihuen (NV)
  • Rep. Sander M. Levin (MI)
  • Rep. Elisabeth Esty (CT)
Rep. Rick Nolan (MN)
  • Rep. Niki Tsongas (MA)
  • Rep. Robert A. Brady (PA)
  • Rep. Gene Green (TX)
  • Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez (IL)
  • Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (NH)
  • Rep. Keith Ellison (MN)

Nolan would have been defeated in real life 2016 - let alone a Rubio 2016.
Otherwise this is a brilliant timeline - keep it up!

It’s a good thread! But was wondering will Rubio’s popularity be a boost to Haley, or is she going to stake a more independent status, so she can establish herself as her own agent as she prepares to run in 2024?
I hope not.  That was a mistake that Gore made.
