LGBT Trade thing is going to screw us.  You cannot cut off trade with practically half the world because you don't agree with one specific policy.  Feel-good legislation is not going to help anyone

Common sense says the LGBT Trade and Credit Card bills won't work, not liberal or conservative bias

It's a good deed, yes, but it's an extremely far-reaching bill that restricts trade with many important trading partners.

Countries affected by that are not important trading partners.
Yeah because we definitely do not use Kuwaiti oil or any Arab oil at all.  The idea that we should dictate social policies to other nations that we cannot come to a consensus on at home is ridiculous.

There is serious opposition to legalise homosexuality?
Gay marriage, yes.  I don't think this should really be a deal breaker.  We don't mind countries prohibiting free speech or incredibly poor working conditions but this bothers us?  Its feel-good and economically bad

I'll be more than willing to help with anything on the GM front and would be fine with taking an official role as assisant GM for the time being

Well Assistant GM can be an approved senate positions as well, but I don't think that the SoEA should be the assistant GM because they have other involvement in the game and the GM shouldn't.  Dual-office thingy

Aren't you the one mocking the power of the SoEA? Or was that SPC? Either way, the Cabinet needs to have more influence on the game. Right now the SoEA doesn't do very much of consequence and I would like for that to change. I also don't want to increase the number of positions in the game. That would reduce competition and increase the likelihood of inactivity.
Yeah I mocked the SoEA because it is a do-nothing job.  It doesn't mean that the position of GM should be unneutral

I don't see why a Deputy GM would be any different the currently allowed positions of Deputy SoFA.  The position isn't used often, but if the head of the department is not going to be very active for a time, then they can relegate some duties.
