Let me establish what you mean here, are you saying Protestants do not follow a way to salvation whereas Catholics do?

You can follow a path to salvation without being a true faith so that is a badly worded question.  Most of the tenets of Protestants are correct, however, to be a true faith you would have to accept the Eucharist is the actual body and blood of Jesus

Pope John Paul II never said a thing like that.

That man was a tremendous man, but John Paul II is not as good of a pope as Benedict is.  John Paul was all about bringing people together of all faiths, but he didn't do a great job of establishing the Catholic way is the only way.  Benedict is doing a great job of that.
