President Biden should sign it without fuss or fanfare tonight. I'd like to see the Russian front lines being shelled ASAP. Screw the photo op.

Why should Taiwan be getting any aid? It’s not at war.

For this exact reason. That it stays out of war. Weakness only encourages aggressors and change their calculations. Xi is much more likely to launch an invasion if he and the CCP estimate that it's possible without paying a massive price.

Not to mention:

Taiwan produces over 60% of the world's semiconductors and over 90% of the most advanced ones. Most are manufactured by a single company, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC).

Besides the whole, ya know, 'Imperialism bad' thing, allowing Chine to annex Taiwan and take over it's industries would be a national security and economic nightmare. I wish more people were aware of this.

Does anyone know why Rubio voted No? I thought he had been fairly hawkish on Ukraine, and also in general.
Unsurprisingly idiotic reasoning, he says he supports aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan and forcing TikTok divestment but he still voted no because something something Biden isn't doing enough about the border.

Is he still delusional enough to think that he has any potential to advance his career beyond that Senate seat? If I was him, I'd just take this lifetime seat and do my job professionally.

I honestly don't think it's dawned on him that if trump is elected President, every Republican presidential nominee from now into the distant future will also have the last name "trump."
