Don't worry about it, I had this happen at my school last year. The school will make a bit deal out of it for the first year and then when you get to school the next year they magically stop enforcing the things that they were so offended by the year prior. They claim victory after nothing has changed.

At my school they also cancelled ALL the dances for the rest of the year after the freshman dance (for those who don't know the freshman dance is where the upper classmen basically freak dance on the freshman, its kind of a welcome event...) with the exception of Prom. So basically there were two dances total. Then in the middle of the year they tried to have a dance with the lights on and dance rules enforced. Number of tickets sold out of 1500 students: 4.  After that episode they basically gave in  Smiley , though upper classmen are no longer allowed to atend the freshman dance.    Sad
