Rivne is in the western part of Ukraine, pretty close to Lviv and the Polish border. It is pretty clear that these missile strikes are occurring in cities all over Ukraine, not geographically limited at all if they are occurring in Rivne.

Explosions in Borisopol, which is where the airport for Kiev is. Some transport planes from Turkey just landed there earlier, probably (Huh) for evacuating turkish diplomats or something?

Gunfire reported at Borispol airport (?paratrooper/spetsnaz attack???). If Turkey is trying to evacuate diplomats from there, that would be bad.

Explosions reported in Vinnytsia, that is also in western Ukraine not too far from Poland, further making it clear this is not geographically limited at all.

Amphibious invasion of Odessa is apparently expected. That is very near Romania, nowhere close to the Donbas. If there is an invasion there, it shows with 0 doubt that anything Putin might say about this being limited to the Donbas is a total lie.

US response. Reportedly there are a lot of military aircraft flying from various military bases in the US, as one would expect.

Odessa in the SW part of Ukraine is now getting attacked by Russia.

So it’s an attempted annexation, then. Putin lied, millions will die.

There is no telling what political settlement Putin wants. Personally I doubt it would be as simple as just annexation. If he wants Ukraine to be absorbed into effective Russian control and not merely to be a puppet state, it might be via creation of a new "Union State" of Russia-Ukraine also including Belarus as some form of federation (obviously reminiscent of the old Soviet Union). Which then raises the question of what about the other former Soviet states.

There is no real evidence of that (and in fact I saw at least one report of a Russian plane being shot down).

All that is happened so far is pretty much missile launches and some bombing for the most part. That is not something that you defend against. Any resistance will be done for the most part by the Ukranian army on the ground, and that will take more time to come to fruition because they will not all immediately be in contact with the Russian army.

It was on twitter about 20-30 minutes ago, don't remember exactly where I saw it unfortunately, but I think it was supposedly somewhere in the Sumy-Kharkiv type area in the north-east of Ukraine, thereabouts.

On twitter I saw a report of Ukranian fighter jets somewhere doing something. However, I won't re-post here so as to not spread any information on locations of Ukranian forces. Although that would almost certainly not help Russian intelligence, there is no reason to take even the slightest chance.

Keep that in mind everyone when potential reports about Ukranian army positions come in later on.

Putin's speech tonight was reportedly recorded several days ago. No surprise, but obviously this was all pre-planned. Which makes clear that the idea that it is a reaction to Ukrainian attacks or anything like that is total bullsh1t
