Dude, seriously? This is fairly useless stuff you're teaching them.
Anyway, it says that gringo stereotypes of Canucks are a bit off base (hoser? eh? take off?) and mostly they came from that Doug McKenzie fad, but lots of their slang is accurately displayed.
i.e., it means that all the stuff after "Canadians do call..." is accurate. All the stuff before it is a bit overhyped.
But really, my advice is that if you're teaching English to Chinese people, consider using a different textbook than the one you're using.
