Not too bad.  The violent crime rate is lower than the national average.  Property crime rate is about equal to the national average.

I don't know anything about the Amish Mafia, and the weird juxtaposition of German and Italian rattles my brain so I didn't click on your link--pick a better name for the phenomenon if you want us to study it--but I am aware that the Amish are one of the the main suppliers of meth in this county. 

Anyway, I was giving stats for only Manheim Township part of 17601.  Obviously, that part of the zipcode that extends into the city limits of Lancaster will have higher crime stats.
