Harris, CCM arent gonna be selected, the memo is Klobuchar or Warren. CCM has a Dem Senatorial Campaign to run, and Dems are expanding the map to include KY, SC, MT, AK, TX and KS.  CCM isnt bailing. Harris said that she isnt moving her family out of SF, but she supports the nominee.

Klobuchar and Warren have Hillary Clinton appeal and Biden already said in 2016, when Hilary ran, he would pick Warren. Since there is an urgency to get Pressley and Kennedy, Generation X politicans in the Senate, Warren will he the nominee

Does Harris even have family?

Her hubby lives in SF not DC, where she lives, I am presuming. No, she doesnt have kids. I guess Harris commutes back and forth to SF to DC to be with her hubby. Her hubby is caucasian and he loves it there and doesnt want to leave. I have seen them in major SF news walking side by side in SF, and her hubby talks about SF, he never is seen with her in DC or even talks about it. Her hubby works in SF

A Latino is a must.
Biden already has black support and he can get Kamala and Obama to campaign for him. He lacked Latino support in the primary (relative to Hillary) and needs to be aware of this weak spot. If Biden loses, it will be because he doesn’t listen/takes-for-granted Latino voters in the same way Hillary ignored some of her base.

Does an English-speaking half-Italian Senator whose paternal grandfather happened to immigrate from Mexico solve that problem?

To an extent, given both her ability to garner Latino voters in Nevada (a must for any NV Democrat) and her background (half-Latino)
Personally I would prefer Lujan Grisham anyways, but Cortez-Masto would be better for reaching out to Latino Voters than say, Elizabeth Warren.

Clyburn is full of bologna. The nominee is not going to be a white woman. My guess is Warren isn't even being considered, Whitmers been a governor for a little over a year, and Klobuchars successor would have to run in a Biden midterm and that puts another seat into play.
I think the top 4 are
Harris, Demings, Duckworth and Masto.

What? DEMINGS have no natl security and she took back her comment on wanting to be Veep. Harris said her kids like Brentwood and doesnt want to live in DC. Duckworth is wheelchair bound. CCM is chairman of the Senate campaign and already took her name out of running. Warren is the same age as Hilary. Both Trump and Pence are senior citizens too

Warren and Klobuchar are the only realistic possibilities,  due to fact Harris felt slighted by Dems for not selecting her as Prez. I knew it was gonna haunt Dems, if they wanted Harris for Veep, she was gonna turn it down.

Everyone doesnt want Veep, the only reason why Biden took it, he planned on running for Prez one day. Veeps dont do much, except SOS duties and behind the scenes negotiations if their party controls the Senate. Like what Pence is doing

LOL, there's is no way that Harris would turn down the VP spot.

It's a boring job, after campaigning for Prez, all you do is break ties in Senate and travel abroad, Cheney, Biden and Pence werent seen much after the campaigning. Harris wants to be in the spotlight; whereas Klobuchar and Warren would be standing behind Prez Biden


There are many other cabinet positions that are out there aside from Veep. You act like Veep is the same as being Prez, its not

Probably as much as a half-Tamil whose father happened to immigrate from Jamaica will help with ADOS turnout.

For what it's worth there is a recent poll showing that putting Cortez Masto on the ticket would make Hispanics a lot more likely to vote for Biden.

All signs are positive for Warren, she is close to Jill Biden and along with Klobuchar arent threatened by the sexual assault charges.  Otherwise, Harris, whom was vocal on Anita Hill was threatened

Its Warren, Biden isn't picking someone with no foreign policy knowledge and Warren, Klobuchar and Harris have foreign policy knowledge.  Its traditional to pick Senators as Veeps as they will break ties in the Senate. If the Dems net 50 seats, it should be Harris, Klobuchar or Warren breaking those ties

-Jill Biden is still angry about Harris’s attack on Joe in the first debate last year.

-Rep. Cedric Richmond, a Biden campaign co-chair, says he’s hoping the final selection will wait until both the vetting committee and Biden himself can interview the potential running mates in person (made more difficult at the moment because of coronavirus).

-Michelle Lujan Grisham’s sister died of the same cancer that claimed Beau Biden (which I guess was public knowledge before this story, but I didn’t know it until today).

It looks like Warren, Warren is close to Jill and they spoke before Warren endorsed Biden and Jill assured Warren of no sexual misconduct on behalf of Joe.

Joe isnt a sexist but did touch females in the way females stated other than the Tara Read allegations

This. Conventional wisdom since 2000 is that the VP needs to be a Senator with bipartisan credentials to work with Congress. That conventional wisdom has often been wrong.

Yeah it was proven bad when John Kerry picked Edwardsville instead of Gephardt whom had natl security experience over Edwardsville in a natl debate over 911, Edwardsville lost to Cheney and Bin Laden tape doomed the Veep candidacy of Edwardsville.

Why in the world would Biden pick her for this? This department has nothing to do with her background or issue expertise.

You dont need background to run an agency, its ran by administration officials, the Sectetary oversees the department.

Van Demings wont be Veep, Senate deals with treaties and most Veeps have came out of Senate.  Gephardt would have been the exception in 2004, if Kerry picked him, he would of had a better chance, since he wanted to pick him in first place and Gephardt had foreign policy knowledge
