If the GOP has its way, the American worker will become the American slave in 10 years.

What a stupid comment.

What a stupid 100% true comment.

I actually laughed as I read your comment.  You have to be trolling.  You can't be serious.

Well, I'll say this. The Koch Brothers want to gut the social safety net, and the GOP does their bidding.

I don't really believe in conspiracy theories.

The GOP objectively does want to kill the safety net. If Bush had gotten his way with Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid would have been next.

There definitely do need to be some changes, and the Democrats right now don't want to do anything.  If anything, they want to make it worse.

They will probably try again if they do well in 18 and 20.

But will they improve it, or will they continue making it worse?

Welfare shouldn't go to people who don't work even though they have no problem preventing them from working.  And I don't mean that unemployed people don't deserve welfare.  They do.  I'm just saying that they ought to be looking for a job, and if they aren't, then they don't get welfare.  As you can see from my profile, I'm not some Tea Party Ted Cruz Republican, so don't accuse me of that.
