The right outperforms in the LatAm's big cities because is where most of the big industries are located. High middle class and high class are overrepresented in the big cities, and they are Bolsonaro's base right now.

The wealthy supporting a fascist over a pro-democracy socialist is the least surprising thing of all time.

New XP/Ipespe poll:

Bolsonaro 51%
Hadddad 36%

Valid votes

Bolsonaro 59%
Haddad 41%

Looks like a huge majority of Brazil will vote for a fascist. I won’t even feel any sympathy when Brazil becomes a far right military dictatorship again, because voters get what they deserve.

Why am I not surprised the "libertarians" are supporting the fascist?

I think the fight against climate change was officially lost tonight. Bolsonaro will obliterate the entire Amazon, and it'll be impossible to even limit the damage of climate change without it.

What policies has Bolsonaro called for that would be considered closest to fascism?

This certainly sounds fascist to me.
