"Sage" is a term now being used to demean posters who actually try to contribute and share their thoughts, however disorganized they may be. Its definition is slowly expanding in order to be used as a jab at people who don't post in styles that smug regulars appreciate. In particular anyone who regularly posts at length on a topic can now be labeled sage. Redalgo was mentioned. He's not edgy or trying to seem wise.. the guy's just sharing his thoughts. You know.. like, what you might feel free to do on a forum?

Things like this make the atmosphere around here pretty unpleasant.

If we are to consider "sage" bullying or offensive, then we should also consider terms like "moderate hero" and "prude" the same way.

I agree, although for whatever reason I'm getting sarcasm vibes from your post. Just in case I'll add an eyeroll emoticon to save face Roll Eyes
