He ain't completely wrong... but he shouldn't have been dumb enough to say this.
In what way is he right? The entire point many progressives are making is that the Constitution *should* apply equally to everyone, but for a variety of reasons *hasnt*.
Diversity is not an American tenet. It isn't a value of our country, and it had nothing significant to do with the founding of our country. It isn't necessarily something to celebrate. Not that it's a bad thing, but it often times leads to unnecessary racial tension & conflict.
Progressives idolize "diversity" as some glorious goal to strive for; what this does is reduce the sum total of a person to his/her skin color, gender, and/or religion. In a sense it objectifies people, treating them not as a human with a unique personality and character but rather as a token that is worth more or less based on its physical attributes.
