Legend and Notes

Assassinated  *Resigned

[1] On March 18, 2019, President Joseph Robinette Biden, a Democrat from the state of Delaware, was assassinated by William Brian Jefferson, using an AR-15 assault rifle. Jefferson, a resident of the state of Florida, had legally purchased the firearm, and had not undergone background checks. Following the assassination, as well as several mass shootings that had occurred in recent years, the Sensible Gun Safety and Control Act was passed in both houses of Congress by a significant margin. Following President Biden's death, his vice president, Democrat Sherrod Campbell Brown from Ohio took office, becoming the 46th President of the United States after being sworn in during a private ceremony at 11:34 PM EST on March 18, 2019.

[2] On August 23, 2052, President Samantha Emily LaValley, a Republican from the state of Wisconsin, resigned from her office as President of the United States, after being impeached by Congress. LaValley had been incorporated in a vast money laundering scandal involving several politicians from across the world, and the investigation of Special Counsel James O'Brien had concluded that she was, indeed, part of this conspiracy.
