Tooting my own bassoon, but I think the 2019 June map would be a good starting place to model #trends from and build off of, if one is so inclined to make more maps. Even though it doesn't adhere exactly to state vote (such as Lab/Fed counties in states that voted unanimously for the other party), I do believe it has a more "natural" feel. Although you could obviously argue for micro changes of counties here and there, I do think it is a nice overall picture. It would be interesting to compare it to a June 2021 map since both elections were very close, so #trends would be visible.

I'd make a swing map but I am a little lazy.
