What about Jon Huntsman, I don’t think he has endorsed anyone yet

No more people for the republican or democratic primaries. Independents are ok.

That really isn't your decison FYI.

I know, just my opinion.

If wx says its ok to be a republican, please, PLEASE, do not pick Huntsman. Thank you. Smiley

Huntsman would be better suited as an Independent or an Americans Elect candidate anyways, based on his becoming Ambassador to China in the Obama Administration.
He would probably run as a Republican since that is what he did IRL

Also, Jackson Hitchcock probable shouldn’t choose a Tea Party candidate like Palinsince that area is pretty filled with both Bachmann and DeMint

I'm done guys! I'll try and find the docs I saved and post them tonight. If I can't find them, it may take a tad longer, but still expect to see them shortly.
I just finished my finals too! So I am excited to get back to playing this game

Hey guys, just one request (and I'm not meaning to attack anyone in particular, just over the time I've hosted the game I've noticed a need for this):

Please be patient Wink

As I write results, a turn, get endorsements, anything in particular, trust me: I have a schedule and it will be finished in (most times) a timely manner. If it won't be, then I'll let you guys know. I'm as committed to this game as you guys are (I love doing this stuff), so I'm not going to fall off a cliff/abandon the game or stop writing the turn without letting you guys know. Just for many of the things I do, it takes quite a while to do them because I like to put a lot of effort and realism into my posts to enhance the game. Of course, I could just write the results in a plain text format without anything else, but I know both you guys and I would like it better if I'm putting effort into all of this.

Results will be up shortly Wink
You do a really good job at this

I apologize for the extremely long delay; I've had to manage a lot over the past weekend and now I finally have time to sit down and post the results. Turn will be up shortly after the results are posted! (This and the next turn will be one week long as I'll be in an area without computers next week, but as soon as I get back, they'll revert to 72 hours)
By any chance, can the next two turns be a week and a half each? On Saturday I will be leaving for vacation for two weeks with no computer and I rather just miss one turn than a whole bunch

To be honest, I really do need to move this game along (as I have a goal of finishing it before the end of summer). When will you get back?

Even if I do two 1.5 week turns, you'd still miss two turns in the end, and I don't think it would be fair to the other players to have to wait that long to continue the game after this hiatus.
Ok, I will find some way to do this

Didn't Bachmann campaign in Oklahoma and Tennessee? Rip her efforts there

Both of those were deal states with DeMint
Both those weren't in the deal because I thought DeMint would already have Tennessee locked up and Oklahoma would be locked up by Huckabee

I came back a week earlier than I thought so I will be able to post my turn as Bachmann

I would love to continue, but I don't have enough time. Maybe a scenario where Huckabee is forced to drop out (i.e maybe Janet Huckabee gets a major disease) would be appropriate. I don't see him irl dropping out unless he's forced to.
After Super Tuesday, I could see Huckabee drop out since he only won Oklahoma

This is my very rough prediction of the general election map. I believe that it will be pretty easy win for Republicans since how divided the Democratic party is since Obama was pulling away progressives while Bloomberg is taking centrist away from Brendsen. But, I do believe a lot of Bloomberg voters will be coming from the Republicans since the Bush and maybe Guiliani endorsement. Still, my guess is that since DeMint/Bachmann are very much liked by the base and are a grassroots campaign that Republican turnout will surge since they will be energized.

Overall I believe the results will look like:
#1 DeMint/Bachmann (R);
334 EV
35%

#2 Bredesen (D);
201
30%

#3 Bloomberg/King (I);
3
20%

#4 Obama/Brown (G);
0
13%

#5 Carrola/Johnson (L);
0
2%

I'm just really happy the action that made my life hell here in Cook County (when they passed the pop tax) wouldn't be backed by Bloomberg in this TL, that's all
I mean if we kept Bloomberg as mayor and he did pass the soda tax or even supported it then he would be destroyed in the general election since all Republicans would abandon his campaign
