"Sixty-five women who knew Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in high school have testified to his good character in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, in light of recently surfaced allegations that he tried to force himself on a girl during his time at Georgetown Preparatory School."

https://www.vox.com/2018/9/14/17860488/brett-kavanaugh-sexual-assault-georgetown-prep-defense

I mean, none of this matters, Republicans will happily vote for him even if the claim can be substantiated, but what a bizarre and unbelievable defense Grassley prepared for this. Kavanugh is 53-years-old and went to an all boys' school. There is zero chance he can name 65 women he remembers from the time he was a teenager.

If the document had actual corroborated accusations in anyway , Feinstein would not have sat on it , the fact that she waited all this time indicates it’s more of a smear job than anything else.

Repeating myself from the other thread re: this stupid point:

Again:

What's the source that the FBI has "dismissed" this? It's not in the article from the OP

Short answer: it's just a couple of morons who think the fact that the FBI processed the letter instead of immediately taking Kavanaugh in handcuffs means the allegation is frivolous and has no shred of legitimacy, even though this wouldn't be their jurisdiction in the first place.

What would Pandaguiniapig/Old School Republican say if these accusations came out against Merrick Garland?

Oh right, they wouldn't say anything at all, because Merrick Garland never even gone a hearing in the first place.

Got it.

I think the fact that Garland never got a hearing was totally wrong and mentioned it at the time.

I'm sure you lost some sleep over it.

Let me guess, you were one of the people who believed Harry Reid when he made up sh@t about Mitt Romney's taxes?

Harry Reid was protected by the speech and debate clause.

This lying weasel should hope to stay anonymous to avoid Kavanaugh filing a defamation suit and taking every cent she has.

I suspect Brett Kavanaugh will not forget who the enemy is after all this.

Simmer down, Corleone.

Assuming all the Democratic Senators vote No in the full chamber, which GOP Senator(s) might vote No wanting more information or having some doubt towards the nominee?

I can only think of two:
Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska

Not gonna happen. And Manchin will still break.

More than half of his clerks have been women and a quarter have been minorities. Such a progressive and tolerant man!

And yet Kavanaugh almost uniformly rules against female and minority rights as a judge whenever they're at issue in a case. I'm sure he's extremely friendly to the fortunate few elite legal students who share his class interests and join his employ, but no, he's a deeply bigoted man.

Kavanaugh is done. Hope his days on the DC Circuit are numbered, too.

Some idiots in here have a lot of crow to eat.

What a fascinating case study in goalposts-moving this thread has been. I shudder to think how many of you would conduct yourselves in your personal lives.

Despite the obvious relevance of his testimony, Republicans won't call Judge because they know that's game over. They would be more likely to do it if they actually had confidence in Kavanaugh's word.

And shoutout to the dolt in here slinging around the "public pretender" insult. Go do that work for a month. You honestly need it.
