Bee Movie (2007)

I thought it was quite good. Good to see Jerry Seinfeld back in the business after a long stint out of it. There was alot of subtle humour in the film, which I found to be quite funny. Now I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing Huh

No Country for Old Men (2007)

It was brilliant film, one of the best I have seen in a very long time. It was yet another great film by the Coen Brothers. Though it scared the living hell out of me, when Anton Chigurh (played by Javier Bardem) killed people. Some of his killings I could stand whilst there were some where I couldn't.

Alexander (1955)

I will say this about the 1955 version of Alexander, it was better than the latest one with Colin Farrell as Alexander. I would rate it 2 stars out of 5 stars.

Oliver Stone's Nixon

I have seen it many times, but it is one of my favorites.  I highly recommend it.  One of the greatest movies ever made.

One of Oliver Stone's finest works, in my mind anyway. Anthony Hopkins plays Richard Nixon very well though I think the stand out in Nixon was Joan Allen playing Pat Nixon. She should have gotten an Oscar for her performance.

I honestly hate it Hugh. You can blame my Dad for that. I myself prefer the Age. Afterall what did the Age have on it's front cover compared to the Herald Sun? The Iowa Caucuses, whilst the Herald had them ambushing David Hicks.

Flying High II: The Sequel

Like the original Flying High it was a very funny film. But like many films that produce sequels you cannot beat the original.

The Dish (2000)

One of my all time favourite Australian films. It was written perfectly and to add a cherry on top, the people at Working Dog selected a bloody good cast.

No Country for Old Men

Javier Bardem > You.

That was a brilliant film. I wouldn't mind seeing that film again.

The Naked Gun (1988) & Borat (2006)

Two of the funniest films I have ever seen in my life.

Nixon (1995)

It was a brilliant film. Oliver Stone selected such a great cast and filmed it with a touch of class. The only problem I had with the film was it's entirety. It went for TOO long. But that's Oliver Stone for you Wink.

Legend

It was disappointing. I liked other Sci Fi flicks starring Will Smith, but not this one.

I just saw that today myself. One of the most boring films I have ever seen. It went nowhere. Thank God I saw it on a counterfeited DVD otherwise I would have wasted 20 bucks.

Flying High (1980)

One of the all time classics. So many good one liners. Timmy have you ever seen a grown man naked before? Surely you can fly this plane, and please don't call me Shirley.

Charlie Wilson's War (2007)

A very good political film. Who better to direct it than Mike Nichols, the man that brought us Primary Colors and the man the brought us the screenplay Aaron Sorkin. If only they'd granted Wilson a million bucks to build schools in Afghanistan.....

BTW: I thought Phillip Seymour Hoffman was excellent in the film. A damn fine actor he is too.

Juno (2007)

It was a really, really good film. I really hope that Ellen Page wins Best Actress Oscar on February 25, she deserves it Smiley. I must admit, I'm surprised you Americans are making some great films lately, I don't expect this trend to continue though.

The Queen (2006)

I thought it was a good film, better than I originally thought it was going to be. I can see now why Helen Mirren won Best Actress for portraying Queen Elizabeth II. And no it wasn't because of her hair and her accent Tongue

Born on the Fourth of July (1989)

Though I only saw half of the film (we can thank my Mum for that), I thought it was a good film. I wonder what happened after he gave that Jesus statue to that Mexican prostitute?

I just got back from No Country for Old Men.

My god.  That was the tensest movie I've ever seen.  I'm still not sure what even happened at the end.  I'm going to have to think about it for a few days.
Carla Jean got killed.

Well I know that.  I mean just in terms of the the killer walking away and the sheriff having that dream.  It was a very abrupt ending.

SPOILER ALERT: DON'T READ THE ONE POINT FONT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE END

Well she was shot dead in the book by Chigurh. But we don't one whether she was killed in the film, though one can only assume.

I must see No Country for Old Men again. And now I can see it on my own Grin

The Wiz

One of the worst films I have ever seen. No wonder they put it on at 6.30 in the morning. Why did I bother to watch that?

All the President's Men (1976)

It was the first time I saw this film and I thought it was really good. However, I did have problems with Robert Redford playing Bob Woodward. In my mind he didn't seem to have the right characteristics to play him, whilst Dustin Hoffman did have the right characteristics play Carl Burnstein, we can thank the hair for my reasoning's Wink.

The History Boys

Lovely and Depressing. I will watch it again, i'm sure; I just don't feel like doing it to myself yet Cheesy

I remember seeing the History Boys a while back. I didn't know what to think of it. I thought it was too depressing, considering when it was out in the Cinemas they suggested it was a comedy, though it did have some comedic aspects. However, it did have a great soundtrack. The Clash, The Smiths, New Order all great bands.

The Dead Zone (1983)

A great film adaption of the Stephen King novel The Dead Zone. Christopher Walken was great as Johnny Smith and Martin Sheen was freaky as Greg Stillson. In all a great film. Though whilst I was watching it with my mum last night, I kept on pissing her off by saying 'THE ICE IS GONNA BREAK' and 'JOHNNY IS THAT YOU'.
