If Michigan wins out do they win the Big Ten? I remember reading that they had not played enough games or something. I think they're obviously they're the best team in the Big Ten and it isn't particularly close.

If the postponed games are rescheduled and they win out, Michigan will win the conference because they have only one conference loss and everyone else has at least three.  If not all games are played, then it depends on what the Big Ten decides to do in case of an unequal schedule.  If they go by winning percentage and Michigan wins out, they win.  Some conferences have announced they're doing this (it's the most logical way to handle it), but I couldn't find anything from the Big Ten on a quick search.  OTOH, if they go by games above .500, the outcome is less certain; using that scheme, they are currently tied with Illinois (9-1 and 11-3 respectively).

If both teams win out then Michigan is the conference champion going by both methods. Michigan has 5 games left and Illinois has 4

I switched to Houston-Wichita, and it really is a terrific game.  Currently Wichita by 3 with a little over 4 minutes left.

These are the shockers we saw make some great runs last decade, they'll be back.

Why are we sleeping on Baylor, exactly?

That's why I didn't include Baylor, I think Michigan and Baylor are the top 2 teams no question. Gonzaga is 3rd.

Illinois is hammering Michigan at the moment, up 55-34 with a little over 12 minutes left.

Give Illinois Michigan's #1 seed. They've earned it.

Michigan should be the #2 1  seed. Make Illinois the #4 1 seed. Illinois has lost to multiple teams Michigan beat, and Michigan is still an elite program.

Moser's another good fit. I don't see Eric Musselman as particularly likely, largely because I'm not sure Indiana is that much of a jump careerwise from Arkansas (compared to what it would be from Drake, Loyola Chicago, or even Butler).
You're thinking too small. Indiana, rightly or wrongly, views itself as one of the best five or ten jobs in this sport. The expectation on their AD, from both the fans and the donors who wrote the seven-figure checks to cover Archie's buyout, is to go out and get one of the five or ten best coaches in the sport. You don't pay a $10mil+ buyout just to go get some guy from Drake — you don't fire Archie Miller to go hire Archie Miller, and picking a successful mid-major coach would look too much like hiring Archie Miller again.

They really, really need to stick this hire if they want to continue to be considered in the top echelon of programs, and that means going with a proven commodity at the highest level. We know that, in the past, Indiana has offered Tony Bennett & Mark Few, though both declined. Probably worth making them another offer to see if they're interested. If not them (and not Stevens, who makes the most sense) they ought to be able to pile up enough money to get someone like Beard from Texas Tech, Beilein from Michigan or Scott Drew from Baylor (the current betting favorites for the job). Oats or Musselman would be fine, but maybe a little disappointing for a program that still believes it belongs with Carolina and Kentucky at the top of the world.

IU should hire Rick Pitino.  Wink

If it weren't for the fact Pitino's only at Iona because of multiple major scandals while he was coaching at Louisville, he'd be an excellent hire. As it is, I'd say stay far away.

If Indiana really wants to make a splashy hire (so a bigger name than an Oats or Mussleman), I'd suggest Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright.

Wright isn't leaving Nova.
