Cherokee Convention Center
Canton, Georgia, The South

Hello, Paxists. Our party has seen a lot of ups and downs since the last time we met. Leinad is MIA, I created and then abandoned my own new political party, plenty of former Peace members have departed us for Labor, and more. Therefore, as the closest thing we have to a vice chair, I hereby declare myself Acting Chair of the Peace Party. In this convention, I hope to address our leadership vacuum, as well as reevaluating our party in order to both appeal to other leftists and make Peace a better party for its current members.

Delegates may now sign in.

Considering how urgent this convention is, I am going to start it ASAP. Welcome to Canton, everyone! We are keeping everything masked, socially distant, and safe for all Paxists who choose to attend. If any of our party's other members wish to sign in but haven't done so yet, they may do so whenever they can. Anyways, we have a lot of things to do, so let's get off our bottoms and get some business done.

There are two orders of business that we have to get done as soon as possible. The first order of business is electing a new chair and vice chair. Once we're all done with that, there is another matter we must address. I hope that we can talk about how we negotiate our future with Labor. I hope that both parties can come to a consensus where Labor and Peace can coexist as parties and have both sides walk out of this convention happy. It is in the best interests of all Atlasian leftists, both maroon and purple, to discuss how our two parties can coexist and cooperate together without sacrificing power or principles.

Anyways, first things first. We need some official chairs. Nominations will be open for 48 hours following my posting of this message. Any member of our party may nominate themself as a candidate for one of the offices. At the end of the 48 hour period, if a position has only one candidate, they shall automatically become our party's next chair or vice chair. If a position is contested, a vote shall be held to decide our candidate.

I hereby nominate myself for chairwoman. Any other candidates who wish to declare have a 48-hour window that starts right now.

The nomination window is now over. Due to both offices only having one candidate, no elections for either office will be held.

KoopaDaQuick has been elected as chairwoman.

Peebs has been elected as vice chairwoman.

As we now have that checked off, we can now moved on to further orders of business. Further instruction will be provided next Sunday, on the 13th.

Sorry for deleting the previous post, I had technical difficulties. If FalterinArc and Peebs could resubmit, that would be great.

Anyways, I ask all Peace and Labor members to participate in our new poll where we ask about the future of our two parties:

Hello everyone! This poll will no longer accept responses. Thank you so much to all the Laborites and Pacifists who participated. This poll received results from 3 members of Peace and 9 members of Labor. In this post, I will publicly announce the results for all the questions individually, only counting Peace and Labor votes with the votes of the same party. All individual respondents, their individual answers, and their comments at the end of this poll will remain anonymous for the sake of their privacy. Anyways, let's look at some numbers.

The following questions show only the responses given by Peace members.

Question 1: Do you approve of the status quo of our relationship with Labor?
Yes: 67%
No: 33%
Indifferent: 0%

Question 2: Would you be okay with either Peace merging into Labor?
Yes: 33%
No: 67%
Indifferent: 0%

Question 3: Would you be okay with Peace and Labor forming a left-wing bloc together?
Yes: 100%
No: 0%
Indifferent: 0%

The following questions show only the responses given by Labor members.

Question 1: Do you approve the status quo of Labor's relationship with Peace?
Yes: 88.9%
No: 11.1%
Indifferent: 0%

Question 2: Would you be okay with either Peace merging into Labor?
Yes: 77.8%
No: 22.2%
Indifferent: 0%

Question 3: Would you be okay with Peace and Labor forming a left-wing bloc together?
Yes: 100%
No: 0%
Indifferent: 0%

I have assembled top members of both parties to talk privately on Discord regarding the future of relations between our parties. I will respond back when a consensus has been made.

Ladies (aka Peebs), gentlemen (aka Razze), and non-binary people, (aka...myself, I guess?), I am proud to announce our great party's new logo!

As the party is going under some restructuring and revival, I thought we might as well include another re- word, rebranding! Our main official color for logos and other branding shall be #9900FF, although other varieties of purple and violet are also acceptable. Primary fonts to be used in advertisements and other forms of official branding shall be Helvetica Neue for regular text, and Comfortaa for the logo.

--

In other news, I hope to post a ballot for the Peace Party presidential primaries soon, which will hopefully be held during a 72-hour-long period this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Stay tuned!

Should our party have an official 2nd, 3rd, etc. preference endorsement? I think that would be reasonable, considering our history with presidential elections.

Okie dokie. We'll hold that election alongside endorsements for other offices.

Voting has concluded. At least 3.5 votes needed for a majority.

ROUND 1
Rochester, MN - 3
Big Sandy, MT - 2
San Francisco, CA - 1
Las Vegas, NV - 1

ROUND 2
Big Sandy, MT - 4
Rochester, MN - 3

The people have spoken, and Big Sandy has been chosen. Specifically, we'll be doing it in the gymnasium of Big Sandy High School in said town. Considering how we have to social distance and reduce attendance, the size of the venue shouldn't be an issue here.

I hereby close the Canton convention. Many thanks to the people of Georgia and the attendees, and I'll see you all in Big Sky Country!

Goodnight everybody!
