I used to think of naming a baby daughter Amanda. Well, at least until I named myself that.
This might come off as transphobic - and I don't mean for it to be - but I think it's pretty brave to choose a name that somebody transphobic could easily twist into "A man, duh!". If I was transitioning into a woman, that would probably be a deal-breaker for me. You probably have thicker skin than I do.
Haha, yeah, I get it. There's obviously something like that, but I don't know.
I just really like it as a name. It's ok tho, I remember when I told my FTM friend whose deadname is Amanda about my name, and he told me a lot about "a man, duh" jokes and how they're corny.
But don't worry, you're not being transphobic. it's fine lol
