Personally, I always thought Koharu’s contributions were nice. Just a self-assured Wisconsinite librarian. Was one of the posters who I shared threads with during lockdown, when I had little better to do than browse the COVID megathread, and became a lot more active on the forum.
Assuming she was who she said she was, she also brought some demographic balance, and a slightly different perspective. Scott once
memorably described her as the “Only Horsewoman of the
Apocalypse Atlas Christian Left”, which summed her up nicely.
