This is the way it should be. Every officeholder should be sworn in on the constitution and not a religious book.

I don’t know, there’s something quintessentially American about letting people use different significant texts to swear in. It shows that regardless of their creed, elected representatives are fighting for the same goals and common good.

In theory, that is.
