They technically aren't, but they are not necessarily backing the right side in Syria either. (No, they shouldn't side with Assad either.)
I don't think we're directly funding or aiding ISIS, but by trying to take out the strongest opposition that ISIS has - the Syrian Government - we are indirectly aiding them.
You can be anti-Assad without advocating for replacing him. Stop the strawmanning.
