Hoarse Whisperer has a lot of interesting speculation and analysis based on that speculation. But has he/she been right about anything thus far, or have their insights remained all in the world of speculation? I don't like getting my hopes us.

You know when you get too excited for something, like Christmas or a birthday, and then when it's over you are sad?

That's liberals today.

I am going to cherish the day when god awful citizens like you are totally irrelevant to the outcome of presidential elections — the day when a Democrat gets to 270 without Ohio.

Disregarding margins, Dems would get 350 EVs before winning Ohio. Not counting possible shifts in the last four years or elasticity (especially Iowa).

I want them to win without Florida too, for good measure.

I’d imagine that Progressive Pessimist is in a better mood now?

Thank you for your concern. Absolutely I am! Though I started feeling better once Trump's approval numbers barely improved and he started getting cocky again.

Mainstream journalists are SO DUMB. The American people deserve better, frankly. I see that on Twitter, a bunch of jokers at NBC and other mainstream press outlets immediately jumped on the "total exoneration" bulls*hit express and now have to eat crow. What the hell happened to critical thinking and analysis? Trump is dead wrong to call these idiots the enemy of the people, but they need to up their game. I'm starting to rethink my New York Times subscription.

Yeah the media definitely f***ed up, which bodes poorly for 2020. But Americans didn't seem to buy it, or even care. Which is overall a net positive, especially now that the truth is finally coming to light.

Yes, it is. I would say this has to be a first -- that the great American Goldfish Voter managed to think critically even as the news media failed.

Democrats are so bad at politics, they need to take the kid gloves off before the 2020 election and have one short cohesive message: Trump and his cronies are just a band of criminals and are degrading civil society.

We don’t need lectures on being bad at politics from the geniuses who brought us the 2016 Gary Johnson campaign.

Roger Stone is yet another of dozens of examples of unbridled loyalty to Trump biting someone in the ass in the future. Sure, him, Manafort, and others may have remained loyal in the hopes of a pardon fro Trump, meaning that they can have their cake and eat it too when it comes to being a criminal, but is that really any way to live? It's not even a guarantee anyway, especially with the shadow of impeachment over Trump.

When will other Republicans and Trump sycophants finally learn? Protecting this man is not worth it! Cut your damn losses already!

Seriously, its mindblowing that the GOP continues to debase itself, and our precious institutions and norms continue to be undermined.. by Donald Trump of all people. Its madness. Just get him out!
