Granted

Granted

Granted

Granted

I would like to have the kingdom of Sweden please.

Granted

Can I take King Phillip IV of Spain and Portugal?

Granted

At this rate, I may need to open up more characters.

I reckon both 'main' British factions could contain more or less infinite subdivisions if necessary (indeed in your position I would possibly have limited the game to the British Isles, but that's your choice and I'm sure it will add an exciting European dimension!)

But it would def be fun to play as, say, Waller or Lambert on the Parliamentary side, or Sir Edward Hyde or Rupert on the Royalist

Also wonder if Ireland should be divided like Scotland? At this point the Confederates were pretty totally active rebels against Charles's forces under Ormonde and Antrim...

Ignore all this if too annoying / no more players needed of course

(and forgive my ramblings, this period is presently the closest thing I have to a day job!!!)

EDIT: other thoughts if nec: Netherlands? Denmark? Protestant German princes?

I would've originally liked Brandenburg-Prussia but it was wasn't available, so I chose Sweden. Tongue

I've actually gotten more done sooner than expected. I actually may have the first turn posted tonight.

Great. Swedish Empire FTW!

Do we send PMs to ask to start Colonialization or do we announce it on the game?

I already have plenty for a mid-turn update. I love it!

When would this be posted?

Also, can I say that the PLC wasn't involved in the TYW and wasn't a part of the HRE (Prussia wasn't either). The only modern day part of Poland that was in the HRE at the time is Silesia. Just needed to clear it up a bit.

I want to sign up as Brandenburg-Prussia, but I don’t want to distract from your main theater.
You can sign up as Puppet Urban or Saxony

Like others suggested, I think it's best to leave him as an NPC for now.

The PLC did try to instigate some intrigues against Sweden, including an alliance with Denmark-Norway, but those never amounted to anything. However, because of reluctance to go to war in the Sejm, Władysław IV was never going to be able to start anything.  For this game, the PLC makes much more sense as an NPC that various players might be able to entice into providing troops, if they provide the funding.

It would also make sense to be able to infiltrate the Sejm and be able to use the puppet sejm to turn the PLC into a puppet due to the Liberum Veto, IIRC.

Dice rolled and turn written. Spell checking/formatting it now. One player was very lucky, being one number away from assassination.
Who? Tongue

Most likely me, given my recent luck.

If possible, I think Brandenburg-Prussia should have Sweden's color as an outline, to indicate the union between the kingdom and duchy.

If I may ask, Lumine, when will you Announce the Marriage?

Not sure yet. Louise Henriette is very young, and in RL only got married in 1646, so there's ample time to make a decision in terms of husband and then stage a marriage.

Fair enough

I have an issue here, how do I really get my skin in the game here? I'm just lost at this point. I have little idea what to do and I feel a bit helpless.

OK folks, we have a problem. For the second turn in a row, I received no orders from the English Parliamentarians or the Holy Roman Empire. I also received no orders from Royalist Ireland.

What do I do?
You should put them as automats, like what Spamage was doing.

This. IDK who Spamage is, but I agree

We made do without Royalist Irish in turn one? And HRE could be npced through inactivity as Parl Eng were last turn...waiting too long might risk testing patience of existing active players?

This. It's best to post this turn rn and have the inactivity of the HRE be taken as having a bad effect on them.
