that is insane landslide. How it looks downballot? 80% of seats in House and Senate for GOP?
a little better than that. Trump's approval in the 90s on Election Day due to the major recovery from the Hyper Depression (where the country reached 45-50 % Unemployment by the end of President Gore's Term (It was President Clinton (1993-2007 (Died from a Heart Attack)), President Edwards (2007-2008 (impeached due to scandal)), President Dodd (2008 (Resigned due to scandal)), and President Gore (2008-2009 (Didn't run for a term of his own)). Basically, the Dems decide to abandon 2012 for 2014 instead and they do, better, bringing the GOP from over 90 Senate Seats to over 75 and over 400 House Seats to somewhere in the 350s. Not good, but it is progress and while the Republican Majorities remains post 2016 too, it continues to be shrunk by more manageable numbers, though the SCOTUS Trump made strikes down Section II of the VRA in 2021, allowing for the GOP, who have been able to maintain a stranglehold on power throughout the country but barely, to gerrymander enough seats to have a safe R majority in the House for at least the 2020s and maybe beyond that as well, basically ensuring that Trump has a Congressional Majority to pass his agenda for his entire term, which has never happened under any President for the longest time.
