let's be real, even if he survives this, the R caucus is so unstable that he'd have another motion to vacate against him by October, if he's lucky. Dems actually might want to keep him around just so that the GOP in disarray mess happens closer to the election.

I'd doubt it, though the fact that Buck and Gallagher specifically timed their resignations to f**k over the GOP means I actually could see others doing something like this.
