Has this information been corroborated with the mods or is this a hoax? It was fake when Kal's "death" was announced by a random "new" user, it very sadly wasn't when Mr. Morden's mom told us.

J.J. was an old poster with quite a lot of posts on the forum though, so if this is him, then it might actually be credible information.

I know who J.J. was, and I'd take this more seriously if he posted from that account. I don't know if he scrambled his password and left, but this "J.J. 2" fellow smells like a sock.

the difference is JJ 2 was created years ago now.


either way, f**k. I didn't get to interact with him much, but he was a universally likable guy who made me laugh, and was a storied member of this community. Another one taken from us far too soon.

I met Gramps over coffee in 2011, so when I saw this over my breakfast coffee I googled his name. His obit appeared 4 hours ago in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He was a delightful fellow, and he will be missed.

I think I just found it as well. 64 is still just too young to go.

Pancreatic cancer. 

wow, I don't think he ever said anything about it. Seemed in fine enough health for his age, but with something like that, things can always spiral quickly. Just another sad reminder that life is fragile.
