I worry this would strain our relationship with the UK, and especially after likely pissing off France we might want to hold back on that. I'd like to hear from the SoS.

Objecting, last thing we need is to throw a wrench into our relationships with other democracies when we need to focus on authoritarian regimes now. At the very least we should hear from the SoS first
