That would be a wildly unrecognizable alternate history. I'm guessing that the Latin countries played a bigger role in the colonization of North America, with a New France colony still happening and persisting, while the Scandinavians got into plantation farming and the North Africans were the principal colonizers of Latin America. No one wanted to bother with the Appalachians or the Rockies for some reason.

Yes, ITL the Andalusians remained the dominant power in southern Iberia well into the modern age and colonized much of Latin America. Spain and Portugal were less powerful ITL but still launched rather successful colonies, especially the Portuguese. The Basques and French were the initial and longest colonial presence in the Northeast. Both groups brought over Africans as slaves but slavery was abolished earlier and was of a less brutal character than OTL slavery. In this timeline, African-Americans are wealthier on average and settled mostly in suburban areas of major metros.

The dominant languages are Basque, French, and Arabic.

Also, ITL the indigenous peoples are much more numerous and enjoy more social and economic power. The colonizers brought smallpox ofc, but the desires of the Basques, French, Scandinavians, and Moors did not include a full ethnic cleansing or banishment of the indigenous.
