Yeah, I saw this. Frankly I didn't think PETA could get much more ridiculous, but they just might have with this one.

I strongly believe that they are intentionally and consciously ridiculous at times in order to break into the mainstream news cycle.

That seems like the most reasonable explanation for something like this.
