Interesting to see that McCain's speech itself wasn't that well received. The bump is probably more a result of all the Obama bashing that went on more than anything else (I'd guess).

That's a pretty insane bounce. Let's just hope it's an outlier.

McCain takes the lead the lead in RCP average for the first time ever (I think).

Listen to the sore losers whine...

What's wrong? This election was all wrapped up! What happened?

"Sore losers"... the election hasn't happened yet. Obviously, you could see how this poll would disappoint some people though.

You're already acting like it's over and planning your response if it happens.

Nah. I'm just dreading the coming news cycle. I'd be surprised if the race looked like this in a week's time.

I think part of the drama is the fact that Democrats have got so used to having Obama leading McCain and Republicans like-wise.

That's probably true. Even though his leads were often small, he was pretty much always ahead in pretty much everything.

Stick a fork in us. We're finished.

I wouldn't even come close to saying that.

I fully expected McCain to lead due to a convention bounce and it happened.  We need to wait until the end of this week at least to make any determination.

"Come ye cool cool considerate set
We'll dance together to the same minuet
To the right, ever to the right
Never to the left, forever to the right
May our creed be never to exceed
Regulated speed, no matter what the need

We sing hosanna, hosanna
Enblazoned on our banner
Is keep cool"

"Cool, Cool Considerate Men," 1776

Smiley

Aizen was (probably) joking.

Hawk is such a hack now it's unbelievable.

Favoring one candidate over another automatically makes you a hack?

"Elitist McCain" "Saintly Sarah" ? ? ?

Well "Saintly Sarah" is a little strange sounding. I'm not surprised that a populist like him would consider McCain an elitist though.
