There's a thread on it in the General Discussion.

The difference is that what he was doing wasn't illegal, his marriage was on the rocks at the time, and his wife was having an affair too...not that any of these things justify it. He and his wife were honest and open about it.

I could care less about, of course. I wish the best of luck to Gov. Paterson.
