I think they should look into this.

I think porn would encourage young people to jack off instead of have sex. They could make sure to only give out porn that isn't very "degrading" to women.

I don't mind if they're having sex though, as long as they do it safely.

Jacking off is the only 100% safe way to get your rocks off.

It's not 100% safe - there's always the off chance you'll harm yourself in the process! KEEP THAT IN MIND NEXT TIME!

I don't know what you're doing but Ive never had that problem.

Maybe before the internet was invented...

Good point.  Who actually buys porn these days?

True but there are some parents who don't allow their kids to use the computer.

At first, I was about to comment that only a sexually frustrated, socially inapt teenager could conceive of an idea so inane. Then I recalled that this is the Atlas Forum, and I should only expect as much.

The prurience and baleful lack of imagination displayed in this "debate" has actually disgusted me. Of all the things you could request from your school --- better integration with local colleges and universities; a revival of home economics; PE that consists of more than just basketball, and, dare I hope?, separate laboratories for chemistry and physics, since we should stop pretending they are the same subject --- here you all are wishing taxpayers subsidize pornographers to satisfy your masturbation habits.

I am about sick of this place.

Well then leave you prude... that or you know... get a sense of humor. Novel idea I know.

This is another mile stone in the history of Atlas stupidity.

Prude.

I rest my case.

I'm guessing the Straha post above is his attempt at humour that I saw quoted in the Comedy thread? It's interesting how he so often manages to fail at being funny but also not really drifting into the area of such a sad attempt at humour that it becomes funny for that reason, like Naso so often did. He just remains hovering in-between. But I will leave you to your fascinating discussion on pornography.

What is your issue with pornography? It is a part of the world we live in.

He has a point. Why should taxpayer money fund giving kids free porn?

That is a valid argument but that isn't what he is arguing.

Why does this always happen? Someone starts an interesting thread, then someone else makes another similar thread that takes things to stupid levels.

No, BTW.

The thread was mostly made for comedic reasons because there isn't a serious chance of this happening in America. However it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Yes, yes it would. Nuclear war is nothing compared to the devastation wrought on society by free porn. Nothing.

Ha. It's amazing how seriously some people take themselves on here.
