I had no clue. Then again I don't watch Fox News.

It's on Fox News at 9 PM. I guess we can use this as the debate thread.

Yes. Nobody seems to care much but I'll check it out. I like scoping out the enemy and the buzz seems to be that the other candidates are going to go after Giuliani big time tonight.

Paul is doing much better in this debate.

Huckabee got the best one liner so far with that Edwards joke.

Rudy is doing poorly and filibustering a lot.

McCain seems nervous and told the same "drunken sailor" joke he tells all the time.

Romney seems even more fake than usual.

Tommy Thompson seems constipated again.

Huckabee is doing fantastic.

Huckabee really seems to be owning this thing. Am I wrong?

Ron Paul= Freedom Fighter

He was never going to win anyway but he stood up for the truth tonight in a debate filled with liars and fools.

Oh.

So why did Giuliani ask him to apologize?

...because Giuliani is confused about the first amendment as well as why 9/11 happened.

I just wish Paul got more pissed when Giuliani absurdly asked him to retract his statement but I guess he is too level headed a fellow.

Paul is creating a buzz backstage apparently. He's also leading in the text-message poll by Fox but of course they're just saying that his organization is voting for him.

lol nice spin Fox.

Paul 30%
Romney 27%
Giuliani 16%

Go Paul go!

Was this the debate that was supposed to only be the front runners?

If you read some of the websites and newspapers, this was to be a debate between Romney, Rudy, and McCain.  Obviously they were wrong, and obviously this wasn't a softball debate hosted by Fox.

So, when is the Democrat debate going to be?

On Fox News? Never going to happen.

I'm surprised that the democratic candidates are such chickens.

Guess they don't feel like being asked about why they hate America this year...but I agree that most of them (except maybe Gravel) don't have the balls that Paul has.

Is that not hypocritical? Republicans wen to a debate moderated by Chris Matthews, a proud Democrat, but Democrats can't evan go to a debate hosted by the people who are held by conservative-leaning people. At least Fox presents boh sides to their arguments, unlike the Big Three.

Uh how exactly does MSNBC, CNN, etc. not present both sides in a way Fox does?

Other than the intentionally quiet and rat like Alan Colmes, almost everyone on Fox is consevative.

At least on MSNBC they have Buchanan, Scarborough, Carlson, etc. as well as Olberman, Matthews, etc.

Ron Paul lost the debate in a big way and anyone who says otherwise is an ignorant ass.  It's no wonder we a libertarian can't get elected if he is the best they can come up with.

Even if you say he had courage in making that anti-interventionist statement, he did absolutely nothing to defend his position or sway voters.  His internet fan clubs should come up with someone less senile and less crazy.

I guess I'm an ass but I'm not ignorant. I know MSM will declare Giuliani the winner. Paul was right though about why 9/11 came to be.

Fox News does not have a Conservative bias.
Fox News has a Neoconservative bias.

This is a true statement and worth noting. There are big differences.

If the Democratic base is represented by people like Scoonie then why is Clinton leading instead of Edwards or Obama? Wink

Because people with Scoonie's ideological views typically lean towards Hillary.  The connection with the Internet and places like Daily Kos is what shifts his viewpoint towards Edwards or Obama.

...or possibly Iraq.

Maybe, but much less so.  The Democratic party is so overwhelmingly opposed to the War in Iraq, Hillary wouldn't be pulling the numbers she is without getting a sizable portion anti-Iraq vote.

Iowa Republicans are 52-39 against the war, and yet the top 5 candidates they support are warmongering pro-surge lunatics.

In all fairness, that is only one poll and I have a bit of a hard time believing those numbers.
