Since the saga began, Bushie has probably been fired more times than gone for walks.

"Probably"?

The trolling continues. I'm waiting for his sister-in-law to lose it on him.

Now that he has so much... eh... free time, I can't imagine it'll be long before The Update is revived.

Bushie's not going to get political with us on this Memorial Day (which is somehow re-imagined as a Christian holiday), but just fyi Obama is taking our freedoms away.

Also shouldn't be looking for a job??

Looks like he won't be starting the job search anytime soon or as Bushie might put it:

"The job search has not begun, yet".

Jeff, you have a new facebook status like every 20 minutes. I honestly feel bad for all of the Update fans on here who don't have facebook or aren't friends with you on facebook. You should probably just bring it back now instead of waiting another two weeks or whatever.

It's time for him to really try to figure out how to get on the dole if he's not going to look for work anymore.

I also wonder what Allison and Bushie's parents are thinking about this latest turn of events...

He's basically stuck in Tulsa now for no apparent reason.

So I guess the wedding will have to be pushed back again. Allison can't be happy about that.

Stuck inside of Tulsa with the Oklahoma City Blues again!

I was waiting for someone to make that joke.

Anyway, he's had five status updates about a children's spelling bee tonight. I'm certainly getting a bit concerned.

To be fair, it is the National Spelling Bee.

Okay

His parents won't be around forever and I have a hard time imagining that his brother and sister-in-law will want to bankroll his lifestyle...

Men,  there is no need for baseless personal insults.   I'm looking for a job.  I've got one good one that may call me this next week.   There are several other possibilities on deck,  too.  There is no doubt I will get a good career going very soon.   I had to be completely honest with this other potential employer.   I did not feel it right to take the job and immediately turn around and potentially blind side him by quiting the job.  I was raised better than that.  He ended up choosing someone with more experience anyway.  Nobody can ever accuse me of not wanting it or not trying.

How did your parents react to the latest happenings?

How many times will you eat out this week?

Also, here's a small tip regarding your lady situation. Stop bringing up your "five week break" when you talk about your relationship with Allison. It's ancient history at this point and she probably doesn't want to hear about it/be reminded of it anymore. Just say you've been together for about nine months or whatever. End of story.

By the way, was she upset about the job stuff? Planning on pushing back the wedding now?

Jeff, do you have a rough idea of when the official proposal might be coming? Does Allison herself already roughly know when it might be coming?

Folks, I am going to cease this latest dialogue at the end of the night.  I want to go back to my desire of no Update.  I just felt I had to respond to the accusations raised a page ago.

Sad Sad Sad

I am hoping sometime in July.  (I have a fetish for doing it on July 4).  She knows it is coming, and probably knows sometime this summer, but is not sure of when.  I still have to talk it over with her dad over dinner first and ask his permission.  That's just how we both were raised.  She is still her father's daughter until a man takes her to be his wife and it is courtesy for the man to ask the father for permission to marry his daughter.  My goal is to keep her in the dark until I physically drop to one knee.

Hmm, why July 4th? Want to watch fireworks with her after you propose?

It's a day we'll both have off and yes, I think that mid-summer holiday is a nice, romantic time.  I've got plans on how to do it.

Plus you can start listening to Christmas music together after the fireworks!

Still hoping we get that livestream of the event but June 6th, 2015 is gonna be crazy on here either way. July 4th of this year could be pretty wild too...

Can we end this thread? I do not want another Update. Please.

Nope. If you don't want it, stop reading it and posting in it (as you've done repeatedly).

There isn't much point in taking the job if he's just gonna get fired again in a month's time.

Jeff, are we going to discuss this dream that you had about being mauled by a bear?
