So I turned 18 in August and just registered now - I found out that contrary to my belief, they don't mail out the application.  If they force you to register, shouldn't THEY mail out the application?

Welcome to the world of incompetent beauracracy!

Speaking of incompetent beauracracy, on the website for the online form, they have a box for Gender w/ male and female.

Underneath that: At this time, the law only allows for males to register.

It's in case one of those uppity females thinks she's patriotic enough to serve with our vimful U.S. Fighting Men, ho ho!

If they were that uppity, I think they'd just lie.

Next time you go to the drug store to buy condoms sign up at the post office.

hahaha . . . I wouldn't tie the two activities into the same though.  Tongue

Yeah, and besides, there's normally condoms in Meijer - I'm more likely to go there (they're in the bathroom, via the Larry Craig Bill of 2007) - but I'm a virgin.  And I hardly go to hte post office.
