Salzburg, Tirol and Vorarlberg have voted only for ÖVP-candidates for President since 1986.
My state (Salzburg) for example has voted ÖVP in 9 out of 11 Austrian Presidential elections, 1 time for an SPÖ candidate (Schärf-landslide of 1963) and 1 time for an Independent (Kirchschläger landslide in 1980).
In the last presidential election in 2004, Salzburg was about 8% more ÖVP than Austria.
But the ÖVP candidate was also born in Salzburg, therefore some kind of home-state advantage.
